The Stones…In or Out of Sync???

Charlie Watts – we say goodbye…

We here at DearWiseWomen.com were saddened to here about the passing of Charlie Watts, the legendary drummer of the  Stones. Stay tuned for our “Card Talk” as we explore the band dynamics… of the Stones…

Jagger, Richards and Watts have been playing together for 60 years, since 1962. Ronnie Wood became an official member of the band April 1976, 46 years ago.

Watts didn’t miss a single concert throughout his 58-year history in the band.

His last performance was in Miami on August 30th, 2019. Those who were lucky enough to be at that Miami concert surely didn’t expect to be seeing Watts for the last time.

58 years of Charlie Watts being the backbone of the Stones has sadly come to an end.

Watts told Rolling Stone magazine in 1981…41 years ago

“I love this band, but it doesn’t mean everything to me. I always think this band is going to fold up all the time – I really do. I never thought it would last five minutes, but I figured I’d live that five minutes to the hilt because I love them. I don’t care if I retire now, but I don’t know what I’d do if I stopped doing this. I’d go mad.”
