Eva Duarte met Juan Peron and Argentina found its spiritual leader…Eva Peron…EVITA!!!+-

May 7th, today’s Birth Card is the Queen of Diamonds, the Philanthropist Card. All Queens are powerful, like the Kings, but they are usually more compassionate. The Three (3) of Clubs is the “Ruling Planet Card.” All Threes  have a deep sense of indecision along with great creativity. They must harness their creativity so they can manifest the best attributes of the Three.

Evita Peron was born in 1919. She lived her early years in poverty with her mother and four siblings after being rejected by her famous father. At the age of 15, she moved to Buenos Aires to pursue a stage and film career. In 1944, she met Colonel Juan Peron at a charity event. Eva became Peron’s second wife the following year. When Peron was elected President in 1946, Eva became the beloved First Lady of Argentina until her death in 1952. 

Did her childhood struggle shape her views? She cared deeply about her country. After rising out of poverty, her mission was to help the people of Argentina. Eva’s efforts & energy were concentrated on the “Eva Peron Charitable Foundation” that she funded on her own.

She was a passionate advocate for women’s rights. On September 9, 1947, the bill giving women of Argentina the right to vote was approved. After signing the bill in a public ceremony, Juan Peron handed the bill to Eva, symbolically making it her own.

 In the  U.S.,  Congress passed  the 19th amendment giving women the right to vote,  ratifying it on August 26, 1920. Imagine if women like Evita had not fought for women’s  rights?

Did Eva choose the perfect mate? Looking at the card chart, I believe she found her person. 

Juan Peron’s cards are the Ace of Diamonds & Five of Hearts. The Ace of Diamonds tells us that Peron was a man with a magnetic personality who loved beauty. He was generous in giving to public projects which enabled Eva to carry out her philanthropic projects. They both have the  Five of Hearts Card, indicating to  me that they shared their love for the people of Argentina.

Tragically Eva died from ovarian cancer at the young age of 33.

The people of Argentina cried at the loss of their Spiritual Leader…Eva Peron.
